Many papers and two exams to go. And as a way to procrastinate, I have taken up blogging again. Go figure.

The question is: Where to go from here?
Sure, I'm graduating this week, leaving Houghton next week. I'll then return to the Detroit area, only to leave for several Scouting experiences for the summer. But as to what I want to do with a degree... I'm still figuring that out. Here's a brief list of thoughts (no particular order).

1) I've got my Scouting experience. I could ignore much advice from Scout Executives and DE's, and go into the professional Scouting routine.

2) I could join Peace Corps or Ameri Corps and use my education to teach others and further the freedom of the United States, and what not.

3) I could pursue a teaching certificate or masters at a university like U of D Mercy. Sociology, science education, etc. This way I could refine my teaching and educate a larger audience.

4) Finding a company who shares my vision of sustainability and community education/involvement.

5) I run away and backpack for a year.

6) I work as a seasonal worker for a agency of the United States (Forest Service, Park Service). I could travel 2-3 times a year for new work, earning different expertise and knowledge, as well as exploring the country.

No matter what I do, it seems the options are endless. In the end, I want to do something that impacts someone and does something for the betterment of society (as tacky as that sounds). The social and political setting in Michigan is bothering me, but it doesn't make much sense for me to leave just yet. Whatever I do, I want to first and foremost try and stay in the state.
